creating the backdrops

Another major prop we needed was the backdrops. we went to local fabric shops and bought 2 metres of fabric to make each backdrop.we made 4 in total. I (Louise Jarvis) made to of the backdrops by myself; the American flag, and the pink peace sign.

Making the american flag

To make the American flag, i measure out all the equal lines to make the read and white stripes and left a blue square at the top for the starts to go in. I started off with painting the red lines first.

Next i added in the white lines. I ran out of white poster paint so had to use wall emulsion as thats the only other white paint i had.

  I then filled in the blue section and left the back drop to dry before finishing it off and putting on the stars.

Finally i printed out 50 white stars and stuck them on in the correct pattern to creat the American flag. over all i am very happy with my work and hope it works well in the music video.



Making the pink peace sign flag

 for the pink peace sign i found an object that was circular and drew around it to create the outer rim of the peace sign. i then measure the inside lines before cutting out the whole things. i stuck it onto the black fabric with pva glue. Again i think this flag will look great in the video and the vibrant pink will stand out.
