Once we had our material ready we headed back to my house to start creating the backdrops. As we wanted a big peace sign we decided we would cut one out of the zebra print material and stick it to one of the black sheets. Out first attempts to drawing the main circle weren’t going well as we couldn’t get it to be even. After thinking about it I suggested we draw around my garden table as it is circular – luckily it was the perfect size so we went ahead with the idea. We eventually cut out the peace sign and stuck it down to the big piece of material.
As we couldn’t find a Union Jack flag that was big enough to be a backdrop, we decided to paint one onto a white sheet of material. At first me and Evie thought this would look rather tacky and cheap, however we came round to the idea. Louise took charge of this and created the flag, you can see how she made it with the pictures she has provided in another post.
